The new Life
Without Ed™ sterling silver jewelry collection was created for
the purpose of raising awareness and hope surrounding eating
disorders (a.k.a. Ed). Jewelry designer and founder of
www.Sarah-Kate.com,
Sue Gillerlain teamed up with Jenni Schaefer, author of
Life Without Ed: How One Woman Declared Independence from
Her Eating Disorder and How You Can Too (McGraw-Hill)
and guest on the “Dr. Phil” show, to create each piece.
Like Jenni, Sue is in recovery from her own personal battle
with “Ed,” and is donating ten percent of the sale of each
Life Without Ed™ charm and Life Without Ed™ bracelet and
necklace to the Seattle-based
National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA).

Psychotherapist and author
Thom Rutledge treated Jenni Schaefer’s
long-standing battle with anorexia and bulimia by
teaching her to think of her eating disorder, “Ed,” as a
person separate and distinct from herself.
Separating
myself from Ed had immediate results for me,” says Jenni.
“My eating disorder didn't just go away, but I did feel
a tremendous amount of relief once I knew that there was
more to me than just my eating disorder. Working with
Thom gave me much needed hope. And with lots of patience
and persistence, I was finally able to divorce Ed. |
